Balmain’s new kids clothing collection features a $6,000 dress
It’s not cheap to enlist your kids in the Balmain army.
The high fashion label with a cult Kardashian following is shrinking its military-inspired looks for pint-sized recruits with prices ranging from a whopping $250 for a T-shirt to $5,950 for a black embroidered dress.
“These are the same looks that, over the years, moms and dads have repeatedly pleaded with me to produce for their kids,” said designer Olivier Rousteing in a statement. he collection is reportedly inspired by Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s 2-year-old daughter North, whom the designer has created custom looks for, including an adorable white tutu with matching slippers and a white blazer with gold buttons. Kardashian tweeted a photo her mini-me with the caption “My little Balmain ballerina.”
The 55-piece kids collection is designed for tykes ages 6 to 14 and features fancy fur coats, embroidered band jackets and double-breasted blazers. For the girls, expect plenty of tulle tutus and leather jackets and skinny jeans for boys.
